My Preparations For Gunung Tahan


Gunung Tahan is the highest point in Peninsula Malaysia standing at 2187 m above sea-level. It is situated in the state of Pahang, within the Taman Negara. Gunung Tahan could be climbed trough 2 popular entries point, either through Kuala Tahan or through Kuala Juram, Merapoh.



I am setting myself a physical challenge by attempting to climb the highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. This trail is most challenging and adventures compared to other mountain in Malaysia. 3 days to go and all preparations must be done before climbing day.

My packing list includes :
windbreaker
suitable pants
suitable shoes (adidas kampung)

my beloved backpack
tent
sleeping bag


hiking stick
headlamp
disposable raincoat / poncho 
masstin
water purification tablet (Puri-safe)
ration pack
energy bar cum emergency food (chocolate bar)
first aid kit
